Omar Arango’s Finca El Oasis represents some of the best Colombia has to offer in terms of soil, ideal growing climate and farm infrastructure. His 100% organic farm uses a variety of techniques that regulate the biological processes of the coffee trees against things like changes in weather, pests, too much sunlight and other such potential issues. His garden-style approach to cultivation also means each tree is cared for on an individual basis, rather than using more industrial and large-scale techniques. El Bosque is a red honey process that is notably sweet, with notes of strawberry, pineapple and vanilla, that is rounded off by a delicate aromatic note reminiscent of green tea.
