Ginger, Orange, Vanilla, Brown Sugar
Located a short drive due north of Planadas, Tolima, Dubier Horta's farm lies in one of Colombia's most fertile and climatologically ideal stretches of land. The blazing sun trades blows with cool winds that blow from the zone's various towering peaks, creating just the right conditions for growing Arabica coffees. Horta, a skilled farmer, is paving the way for his children's success by setting an example of what it takes to produce high-level coffee and giving them plots of land to begin their own coffee farming projects.
Horta's La Esmeralda is a coffee that balances an unmistakable, aromatic ginger note with citric acidity, along with a remarkable sweetness reminiscent of vanilla and brown sugar, making it among the most unique profiles we've cupped thus far.
