Located in Buesaco, Nariño at a staggering height of 1,900-2,200 meters, farmer Patricia Díaz's finca La Medina has long been recognized for its coffee excellence. With her coffee, as well as that of her husband and father-in-law being recognized in Colombia's Cup of Excellence competition, this region combines high altitudes and incredible rich soils to consistently harvest high-quality specialty coffees. A member of a coffee-growing association that provides constant training for its members, Díaz is constantly seeking to improve her farm's quality through rigorous training at both the practical and theoretical level.
La Medina is a Caturra that has outstanding stone fruit and citric and floral notes and a notable sugar cane sweetness.
