In the heart of the Colombian Coffee-Growing Axis or el Eje Cafetero as it is known there, sits the town of Villamaria, Caldas. Despite the more technically advanced nature of many of the farms in the zone, Mario Murillo’s Finca La Esperanza uses more traditional and artisanal methods to grow and process Geshas. La Floresta represents one of his first trials using the natural process on his Gesha cultivar, and the results are spectacular.
La Floresta brims with fruity notes of black cherry and cantaloupe, and its floral and lemongrass notes provide a delicate and aromatic finish in cupping.
