High atop the canyon that straddles the Sumapáz River, the very line that separates the departments of Cundinamarca and Tolima, lies a small farm. Here, Olga Mora and her husband Nelson Pardo, both natives of the region, have been living for decades, tending the land and raising their child. Olga's dedication to her farm work has helped make this small farm successful, and has also served to pass on the ancestral knowledge of coffee cultivation to yet another generation, something which makes women like her crucial to the future of Colombian agriculture.
La Mariposa is a coffee with citric and stonefruit-forward notes, a maple sweetness and a cinnamon spice note that rounds out this medium-bodied offering.
