Our coffee beans are sourced from farms we hand-select within the vast untamed regions of Colombia's most inaccessible zones. These farms harvest coffee year round.
We develop relationships with coffee growers, paying above fair-trade prices and establishing social and environmental programs to help secure their futures.
The Freshest Coffee
Our beans are dry-milled in Bogota and shipped to the USA just 10 days after "green" for roasting. This means we can consistently guarantee newly-roasted, ultra-fresh coffee.
Our Sudan Santa Rosa comes from a stunning farm called La Rivera in Risaralda that sits on the border between two micro-climates--one providing cold winds down from the snow-capped Santa Isabel Mountain, and the other bringing warm winds from the valley of the Andean Central Cordillera. The competing climates provide dynamic temperatures that producers Juan Fernando Chica and Julio Madrid Tisnes believe are ideal for high-altitude Arabica coffee growth. The washed Sudan they produce is rich in citric flavors, displaying notes of meyer lemon, chamomile, blueberry and blackberry with a distinct note of apricot, and, being one of only a handful of Sudan varietals grown in Colombia, is one of the finest and rarest limited edition single estates we have ever sourced.
