Bombo, part of our Women in Coffee series, is produced by the mother-daughter duo, Cecilia and Alejandra. Both are members of the ASOBOMBO organic coffee association in Huila, where Alejandra launched a project last year focusing on empowering female coffee growers through technical training, food security, and gender equity. There are now 30 producer members part of the program, directly resulting in improvements in the quality of the coffee produced by the community.
Bombo, which takes its name from the association and name of the village where Cecilia and Alejandra’s farm is located, is a smooth and balanced coffee with notes of dried fruits like fig, sweet vanilla, and fragrant jasmine.
