Our first Rare Gem of the year is a honey-processed gesha from the outstanding coffee association, El Diviso. After removing the cherry, the beans are left out to dry with the sweet, sticky mucilage still intact. This processing method increases cup complexity and sweetness, and yields a rounder, creamier body than traditional washed coffees.
El Diviso Gesha Honey boasts the signature floral notes of a typical gesha, with an enhanced sweetness and fruitiness from the processing method. We’re tasting sweet tropical fruits reminiscent of Fruit Loops, delicate floral notes, and citric undertones with a creamy mouthfeel like orange cream.
